You’re going to shave, brush your teeth, and comb your hair anyway, right? Why not handle those everyday ablutions with aplomb? The Tailor & Spruce Collections have names like “Top Drawer” and “Trove” that, to the uninformed consumer, might seem a bit haughty to the uninitiated, but then you take a look at what’s actually included in said collections and you’ll realize that they’re actually rather outstanding. Imaging finding almost every product a gentleman might need for his refined ablutions in one handy place, and you’re already halfway to understanding what you’ll get from Tailor & Spruce. Let’s talk about Top Drawer as an example. For just under $130 (which is to say $129, FYI) you will get a Tailor & Spruce dopkit that comes loaded with an ebony-handled razor, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a sewing kit, a manicure set, a pocket mirror, hand sanitizer and… y’know, to save time, let’s just cut to the chase and say the kit comes with 17 distinct items. Do the math, and you’ll see that’s but $7.50 per item. Not bad, especially considering this complete kit comes with absolutely all the toiletry items you’ll need to stay crisp, clean, and ready for the day, and you can hardly put a price on convenience like that. As for the Trove collection? Yes, it costs more than $200, but it comes in an elegant wooden box — or, rather, an American-made “Desk Valet,” excuse me — you’ll keep for a lifetime. That said, Tope Drawer is still the savvy pick. That’s an expensive box/valet, albeit a lovely one.
